CAN WE (and our rights) SURVIVE THIS VIRUS?

As I visit with some of the younger Veterans I know, a recurring theme keeps coming up in conversation.  Will we (and our personal rights) survive this virus?  They speak about risking their lives to defend the underprivileged, oppressed, and personal rights of populations around the world; yet, watch Americans at home be nonchalant about their own constitutional rights.  Veterans tell me that most Americans haven’t seen destruction, devastation and basic human rights stripped from citizens like they have personally witnessed.  After seeing it first hand, they are deeply concerned that our personal freedoms and Amendment rights are getting chipped away at, and that much of the American population is clueless, or at least numb, to this phenomena.

As many of you know, I’m a VERY proud American, fly my flag high, pay my taxes, vote in ALL elections, and make a point to attend the Army Navy football game each year (oops, but due to COVID, I can’t go in 2020).  I support each and every President elected out of respect for our country, whether I agree whole-heartedly or not with their agenda.  I honor our democracy and the blood that has been shed for our freedoms.  But, these Vets made me think, do they have a point?  Are our rights in jeopardy of being chipped away?  

I did some research into what these Veterans are warning us about.  They speak about our right to FREE SPEECH and FREEDOM TO ASSEMBLE being jeopardized, as well as CENSORSHIP on social media sites.  Did you know there is a website (https://www.citizensforfreespeech.org/vision) that you can go on and sign a petition to support our First Amendment rights?  This group works diligently to protect our rights and educate the public on related legal matters.  In case you need a refresher, the First Amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

These Vets also brought up the point of how the Fourteenth Amendment and our HEALTHCARE RIGHTS are being challenged.  As many of you know, this topic is VERY near and dear to my heart!  I have been extremely concerned about the fact that many of our State governments are enforcing mask mandates and requiring vaccinations prior to attending school, some places of work and travel.  Have you heard about the DC vaccination bill (https://www.washingtoninformer.com/d-c-council-oks-allowing-children-to-get-vaccines-without-parents-approval/) that allows schools to persuade a child as young as 11 years old to get vaccinated without their parents permission?  The Minor Consent for Vaccinations Amendment Act, authored by Council member Mary Cheh (D-Ward 3), includes various measures to aid confidentiality and directs health care providers to seek reimbursement straight from insurers and doctors to submit an immunization record directly to the young patient’s school instead of the parent.  This bill allows physicians to serve in the role of “loco parentis” or in place of the parent, thereby negating parents fundamental right to direct the upbringing, education and care of their children!

If you need a quick refresher, Section 1 of The Fourteenth Amendment states:  No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

This has a deeper and broader scope. It nullifies and makes void all state legislation, and state action of every kind, which impairs the privileges and immunities of citizens of the United States, or which injures them in life, liberty or property without due process of law, or which denies to any of them the equal protection of the laws.  

If the Fourteenth Amendment is supposed to protect our personal rights of life, liberty, and property, how in the world would a bill get passed allowing schools to coerce our children to get vaccinated without our parental consent?

Did you know that there is also legislation being drafted right now that mandates you MUST receive the COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of your religious beliefs, no matter how quickly it has been brought to market and not tested thoroughly?

Folks, even if you support vaccinations, can you see how big Pharma is attempting to eliminate your basic personal choices and force you to submit to their narrative?  They have a lot of money at stake and will do anything they can to scare us.

Some of you have confided that you are dealing with business shutdowns, lack of church services, mask ordinances, quarantine restrictions, media censorship, bullying, childcare closures, internet access, financial losses, depression, anxiety, fear, and family issues.  It is not right that this virus has turned our worlds upside down and created such a divide in our country, lives and personal relationships.

Per the Amendments listed above, we as Americans have the right to live our lives FREE from government intervention when it comes to religion, attending church, speaking the truth, healthcare, what is done to our bodies, plus our freedom of speech.
